Brand Guidelines

This page documents the official Grow Social Capital brand. Use these guidelines whenever creating or updating any materials — digital or print — to ensure a consistent look and feel.

The Grow Social Capital palette is built around navy blue and teal, with supporting colours for backgrounds, text, and accents.

Deep Teal

Highlight colour. Used for link hover states and call-to-action emphasis.

White

#FFFFFF

Very Light Blue Grey

#F0F5FA

All text — headings and body — uses the Outfit typeface. Outfit is a clean, modern sans-serif that works well across all sizes and weights.

If you need Outfit for your own use, you can download and install it on your computer. Once installed, Outfit will be available in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and any other application that uses your system fonts — making it easy to keep documents and presentations on-brand.

On the Google Fonts page, click “Download family” in the top right corner to get the zip file. Unzip it and double-click the font files to install them on your computer.

Headings use Outfit at weight 700 (Bold) and are set in Navy Blue (#0a3a7b).

  • Never use a different typeface alongside Outfit
  • Do not reduce body text below 20px
  • Maintain sufficient contrast — dark text on light backgrounds, white text on navy or teal backgrounds
  • Use bold sparingly within body text to preserve hierarchy

  • Do not stretch, skew, or distort the logo
  • Do not recolour the logo
  • Do not place the full colour logo on dark or busy backgrounds
  • Always maintain clear space around the logo — at minimum the height of the puzzle piece icon on all sides
  • Do not add drop shadows or effects

Do:

  • Use the brand colours as specified — do not invent new brand colours
  • Use Outfit for all text
  • Host Outfit locally — never load from Google Fonts
  • Use teal for interactive elements (links, buttons, active states)
  • Use navy for headings and structural elements
  • Use golden yellow only as an accent or hover state

Don’t:

  • Use the full colour logo on navy or teal backgrounds
  • Use colours outside the brand palette in brand materials
  • Mix typefaces
  • Use golden yellow as a primary or large-area colour
  • Load Outfit from an external CDN
